Jaylen Brown hilariously blames Boston for baldness

last friday, Jaylen Brown has been making waves on social media when he was swinging to Boston Celtics‘ game against the New York Knicks with his hairline sprayed. Brown, on one play guarded by OG Anunoby, managed to wipe the spray off the Knicks forward’s jersey, leaving a noticeable black mark on their white uniform. As a result, he’s become the laughing stock of the league, but it doesn’t look like the Celtics star is at all fazed by all the clowning he’s been receiving.

In fact, Brown even went live on Twitch on Tuesday night, an off day for the Celtics, and went so far as to talk about his issues with his hair. Just to further show how much Brown scoffs at the whole situation, he jokingly blamed the city of Boston and the pressure that comes from competing year after year in front of one of the NBA’s most passionate fan bases has taken its toll on his hair.

“I blame Boston. 10 years of stress, the media, the championship. You all caused this,” Brown said via CelticsUnite on X (formerly Twitter).

Hair loss happens to the best of us, no matter what age. Brown may only be 29 years oldbut Father Time comes for every man’s hair. It’s only a matter of time before either man loses the good mane he once had, and all that’s left is to run toward acceptance — which the Celtics star seems to be doing.

For what it’s worth, the Celtics star doesn’t exactly look silly with thin hair, as he rocks it with confidence.

Brown will feel like he is the first option in his team for the first time in his career. Alas, this Celtics team is not very good. They lost a lot of key contributors from their rival team from years past, and Jayson Tatum will miss most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign.

Brown is in for some stressful days and it could cost him whatever is left of his precious hair. But Brown, again, doesn’t seem to care too much about this development. He’s got all the money in the world to try and dip into the fountain of youth anyway if he wants to bring back the flat top or grain of the past.
