Jaylen Green out on injury report for Cavs matchup

The Phoenix Suns will face the Cleveland Cavaliers, and it looks like he will get help in the matchup. After missing the previous three games with a hamstring injury, It looks like Jalen Green will be back for the Suns, according to Clutch Points’ Hayden Seeley.

“Jalen Green has been ruled out on the injury report tonight against the Cavaliers. Meanwhile, Devin Booker remains out with a sprained right ankle,” Cilley wrote on Ksformerly Twitter.

This is big news for the Suns, especially with Devin Booker is still gone.

Green hasn’t played much so far this season after entering the season with a hamstring injury. He returned briefly but re-aggravated the injury. He then returned last week, but appeared to re-aggravate the injury in their game against the Atlanta Hawks and played just four minutes.

Green was listed as questionable for the last few games, but was eventually ruled out closer to game time. The Suns are likely trying to be careful with Green and his hamstring, and they know they’ll need it as the season continues.

This is Green’s first season with the Suns after being traded to the team during the offseason as part of the Kevin Durant deal. It was uncertain what his role would be on the team, especially since the backfield was already full with Devin Booker and other players in the mix.

Green has shown throughout his career, especially last season with the Rockets, that he could be a microwave shooter. He was a big part of why the Rockets were the second seed in the Western Conference.

If the Suns can land that player in the second half of the season, it could be a huge addition to a team that has surprised many so far.
