Jaylen Johnson gets injury notice for Timberwolves game

The Atlanta Hawks will face the Minnesota Timberwolves early in the week, and it looks like they could be without some key players during the matchup. Dyson Daniels was listed on the injury report the day before the game with right ankle inflammation, but a new player was added. Jalen Johnson was recently added to the report with inflammation of his left knee, and it is uncertain whether he will play.

The Timberwolves just suffered a tough loss against the Los Angeles Clippers, so they will be coming out with a lot of urgency, and if the Hawks are without two key players, they could be in trouble.

Jalen Johnson’s injury status against the Timberwolves

It’s Johnson listed as suspicious against the Timberwolves, and may be closer to warming up to see if he’s available. Daniels is also listed as questionable entering the match.

As the All-Star break approaches, the Hawks may not want to push anything with Johnson, but at the same time, it would be nice if they could finish these next two games with wins before the break. The Hawks are currently the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference and could easily fall as things are close in the standings. The Charlotte Hornets are one of the hottest teams in the league and are looking to make a jump.

Johnson was the catalyst for the Hawks success this season, and he did everything for it. It shows in his stats, as he is currently averaging 23.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game.

The Hawks also added several players to the team at the deadline, and hopefully they will acclimate quickly so they can make a run in the second half of the season.
