JB Bickerstaff remains in his coaching position for the 2026 All-Star game
Losing to Boston (28-17) in Chicago, Detroit (32-11) is guaranteed to be first in the East on Feb. 1, the date the NBA finalizes the All-Star rankings.
Consequence: JB Bickerstaffcoach from Clipshas therefore confirmed his spot for the All-Star Game!
A great highlight for the coach, who is currently in his second season on the Detroit bench and has completely rebooted a club that had languished in the depths of the standings for years.
He already finished second in Coach of the Year voting last year after leading the franchise back to the playoffs at the end of a 14-win run.
It remains to be seen which team will exactly lead the way, as the 2026 All-Star Game will be played in a new three-team format (two “USA” and one “World”). Therefore, it will be logical that there will be three coaches, while Mark Daigneault, the technician of the Thunder (37-9) cannot be selected in the West because he already coached last year.
The place should therefore be played in between Mitch JohnsonSpurs (31-14) and David Adelmanby the Nuggets (31-15). As for the third coach, we are still waiting for more precise information…
