Jeremiah Love is making school history
Notre Dame football resorted to ground-and-pound tactics against rival USC with a familiar approach. Jeremiah Love feasted on a missed USC defense in Saturday’s 34-24 home win — and made ND history.
According to the ND football public relations team, Love it is now in the school books.
“Jeremiah Love’s 228 yards today is the most by an ND football player rushing in a single game in Notre Dame Stadium history,” the ND PR account posted on social media website X, formerly Twitter.
And that in a total of 512 games in South Bend, the order added. He did that show one night Jadarian Price delivered an epic 100-yard punt return.
Love looked a lot like the preseason Heisman Trophy contender many envisioned. Only this time he looked surgical against ambitious College Football Playoff pretender
USC legend hands Jeremiah Love the big title

Even one USC legend couldn’t help but be candid about his Trojans’ performance — as Love provided a stirring comparison. Su’a Cravens got candid about what Love is looked like on the field.
“This ND O-Line was so physical it made Jeremiah Love look like Prime Minister Adrian Peterson,” Cravens said on X.
Yes, the reigning 2012 NFL Most Valuable Player Peterson. Cravens though saw hints of similar backs. Cravens gave USC’s front line and linebackers an “F” grade.
Love described his running style and how he was built.
“I like to be physical, go out there and try to run someone over,” he told reporters after the game.
Brian Hamilton of the Athletics typed what Love now deserves.

Love came in labeled as the most important Fighting Irish player on the field. He looked at everything and more. In the process, ND continued its CFP quest by knocking off the No. 20 team in the country — while crushing USC’s CFP hopes with love.
