Jeremiah Love scores a 94-yard touchdown

Number 12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish advance to a 6-2 record after beating the Boston College Eagles 25-10 in Week 10. It was kind of a close game the entire game, that is, until running back Jeremiah Love broke the game open with an incredible 94-yard run.

Early in the fourth quarter, the Fighting Irish were backed up near their own end zone. On the first play of the offense, Notre Dame handed the ball off to the 20-year-old quarterback, who ran right up the middle. He remained completely intact and outran the entire Boston College defense to take it home.

Jeremiah Love finished the contest with 136 yards and two touchdowns on 17 rushing attempts. Boston College actually managed to hold the rushing superstar to just 42 rushing yards a day before he went on a massive play that led to Notre Dame’s final score of the game.

Saturday’s performance pushed Love to 894 yards and 14 total touchdowns (11 rushing) this season. He certainly plays like one of the top running backs in the country as he plays a key role in Notre Dame’s success. We should expect from the Fighting Irish continue to rely on Jeremiah the Lion as the program aims to reach the College Football Playoff.

We’ll see the junior running back take the field again in Week 11 when Notre Dame takes on Navy. With four games remaining on the schedule, now is the time for the Fighting Irish to make an effort to finish strong with the postseason just around the corner.
