Jimmy Butler, Buddy Hield friendly shenanigans continue after trade

One of the NBA’s most unlikely friendships ended unceremoniously at the trade deadline. Jimmy Butler and Buddy HieldHer single relationship was incredibly fun to watch throughout the season. However, at the trade deadline, Golden State Warriors included Hilda in his trade for center Kristaps Porzingis.
Although they may be on different teams now, Hield and Butler’s friendship remains strong. The Warriors forward posted a picture of his screen FaceTime-ing Hield on Instagram. Hield responded in the comments section, joking that he was traded from the team.
Hield and Butler have become the NBA’s favorite duo for their antics. The Warriors duo have often been seen jokingly cracking each other up and playing pranks on each other. Despite their antics, the two were close friends, even working out together during the offseason. After Butler suffered a season-ending torn ACL, Hield revealed his conversations with the forward.
“He’s Jimmy. He’s happy. Of course, the injury, he wants to play. Everybody wants to play,” Hield said. “I’m texting/calling him. He’s in good spirits. For a person to be in good spirits after an injury like that just shows their character.”
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. With the Warriors in the midst of a playoff push, the team swung for a trade at the deadline. They acquired Porzingis from the Atlanta Hawks, trading Jonathan Cummings for a center piece along with Hielda. Before the trade, Hield averaged eight points per game off the bench while shooting 34.4% from deep. He also added 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists
