Jimmy Butler praises ‘Batman’ Stephen Curry over ACL injury

The Golden State Warriors they ride an emotional roller coaster. Just a few hours after I learned that star wing Jimmy Butler he would miss the rest season with a torn right ACLthe franchise received a much-needed boost: Stephen Curry named an NBA All-Star starter for the 12th time.
Butler, despite a grueling rehabilitation process, didn’t let his own accident stop him from celebrating his teammate. The six-time All-Star took to Instagram to repost the confession saw Curry over the years, who affectionately wrote “Batman allstar starter”. It’s a continuation of the banter between the two stars, where Butler has often referred to himself as “Robin” to Curry’s “Batman” since joining the Warriors.
The praise for “Batman” is well-deserved. At 37, Curry made history Monday as the oldest guard ever to be named an All-Star starter. He was recognized through a weighted formula of voting by fans, players and media, joining Western Conference stars like Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic.
The timing of the honors serves as a bittersweet backdrop to a brutal week in San Francisco. Butler suffered a season-ending injury during Monday night’s 135-112 win over the Miami Heat.
Before leaving the game with 7:41 left in the third quarter, Butler put on a clinic against his former team, scoring 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting in just 21 minutes.
Curry, meanwhile, led the charge with his usual brilliance, averaging 27.6 points per game this season. In the win over Miami, the Warriors showed the depth that keeps them at 25-19 and No. 8 in the West, but the loss of Butler’s 20.0 points and 4.9 assists per game leaves a huge void.
“In true Jimmy fashion, he’s always going to have a good time no matter the situation,” Curry he told reporters regarding Butler’s mood after the injury.
With ‘Robin’ out, ‘Batman’ will have to carry an even heavier mantle as the Warriors push towards the playoffs.
