Joel Embiid reveals the one thing he would trade his MVP for

The The Philadelphia 76ers are currently in training for the longest streak of the season, which will begin Thursday night against the Atlanta Hawks at home. Unfortunately, a great man Joel Embiid has already been ruled out for that game due to a shin ailment, which was further aggravated by his already weak knee condition.
Embiid has started to look more like the first version of himself in recent weeks, hoping to recapture the MVP award form he won in 2022-23. Recently, the big man became 100% real to something to trade that recognition for.
“I would honestly trade this MVP for just one healthy postseason run,” Embiid told NBA coach Drew Hanlen, according to Legion Hoops and Sideline Sources on Instagram.
Health has been a major concern for Embiid over the years, as the star has often gone down with injuries or been severely limited by injuries at the worst possible time.
Embiid has largely been supplanted by young star guard Tyrese Maxey as the face of the franchise in Philly, but if he looks a bit like his prime in the postseason, the 76ers would be an opponent no one wants to face.
Last year, the 76ers failed to make the playoffs, mostly falling apart from a health perspective during the season, and the year before, they were eliminated in the first round by the New York Knicks, with Embiid clearly nowhere near 100% during that series.
Making matters worse for Philly in the short term is the fact that Paul George is out for a few more weeks while serving a league suspension.
For now, though, the 76ers are just hoping they’ll all be in one piece by the time the playoffs begin.
Tipoff against the Hawks is set for 7:00 PM ET from Philly.
