Jonathan Kuminga status upgrade for Wizards game hints at debut

Atlanta The Hawks have a chance to be fully healthy first time in a long time, like Jonathan CummingaThe status has improved ahead of their matchup against the Washington Wizards. Kuminga has had a bone bruise since his time with the Golden State Warriors and was then traded to Atlanta Hawksand is yet to make his debut with his new team.
Kuminga is now listed as suspicious against the Wizards, a good sign that he is close to returning to the court.
Last week, the Hawks took notice Kuminga has made good progress since his bruise and that he will be re-evaluated in a week, with an update on his status.
Kuminga was seen taking some shots during the Hawks’ practice, which was a good sign of where he might hit the floor.
Adding Kuminga to the Hawks’ rotation could help improve their wing rotation, and his skill set could open things up for the rest of the team as well. His ability to drive and get into the lane will be key for the Hawks, whether he’s shooting or finding a teammate on the layup.
The Hawks recently reshuffled the lineup, inserting CJ McCollum into the starting lineup and bringing Zachary Rizacher off the bench. Coach Quin Snyder noted after the win against the Brooklyn Nets that the Hawks are statistically better when McCollum is on the floor with Dyson Daniels, Nickil Alexander-Walker, Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwa, which proves why they made the move.
With Risacher being a wing, it will be interesting to see how those bench minutes are shared when Kuminga is healthy, and if they could be on the floor at the same time.
