Jonathan Kuminga was done for the night against Spurs with a knee problem

As it is The Golden State Warriors won with the San Antonio Spurs on the return special pitch, Steve Kerr will be without one of his key rotational pieces up front Jonathan Cummingawho left the game with a knee injury.
After watching fans speculate about Cummings’ status after coming off the court, Golden State’s public relations team officially announced on their social media account that recently re-signed forwardThe night is over as he plays against Victor Vembanyama and company approached his conclusion.
“Jonathan Cumminga (knee soreness) will not return for tonight’s game,” Warriors PR wrote.
Coming off the bench for a Warriors team that has struggled on the road so far in 2025-26, Kuminga didn’t play much against the Spurs, missing one shot he attempted from the field while hauling in four boards over 12 minutes. After Kuminga exited, Kerr doubled his top-8, with Al Horford, Buddy Field and Brandin Podziemski logging at least 13 minutes of action in the fourth quarter.
While only time will tell what the future holds for Cummings in a Golden State uniform, he has been a key part of the Warriors lineup so far this season, starting all 12 games in which he appeared before the Spurs matchup, while averaging 14.9 points, 3.1 assists and 6.8 rebounds per game while shooting 48.1% from 3-point range.
If Kuminga is unable to play for any length of time due to knee soreness, the Warriors will have to reconfigure their lineup to compensate for his 29 minutes of action per game.
