Jordan Ott shuts down Dillon Brooks trade rumors

Dillon Brooks has a career year to go Phoenix Sunsand other NBA teams were caught. But that’s something head coach Jordan Ott knew heading into the season.

Both Ott and Brooks emphasized culture, which is why the latter was mentioned in trade discussions. on monday, Suns owner Matt Ishbia dismissed all trade rumors involving Brooks.

First year coach did the samebut in its own unique way.

“I don’t have any influence on social media. We love Dillon,” Ott said, via AZCentral’s Duane Rankin. “We had a big game last night. A big basketball game we played. We liked it. We have another challenge tonight.”

Brooks is having a career year in the Valley of the Sun. He is posting career highs per game while being a vocal leader of the team.

The yin and yang dynamic with him and Devin Booker was one of the more fun to watch. But with that said, teams can prepare to offer a trade package.

Even with the trade rumors, Brooks remains adamant about being with Phoenix. He is embraced the young players and he’s embraced being the guy who gets the most out of them on the hardwood.

Guys like Oso Ighodaro and Collin Gillespie benefited from the “villain” and what it brought. Every team he’s been on has seen significant improvements, especially defensively.

But that doesn’t mean it’s one-sided. for example, Brooks had some funny remarks from Booker after another explosive offensive game.

As long as he’s on the team, he’ll probably stay. But he is up for a contract extension at the end of the season, so it could all be on the table.
