Jordan Poole will miss time with a quad strain

The New Orleans The Pelicans have won their last two games after a slow start to the season, and hopefully they can keep the momentum going. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any of their backs in those two wins, like Jordan Poole deals with injury. He looks like him will miss next week due to injury, according to the Pelicans.
“Injury Update: The Pelicans announced today that Jordan Poole has been diagnosed with a mild strain in his left hamstring (quad). Poole will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days and further updates will be provided as appropriate,” the Pelicans wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Poole came off the bench last week as head coach Willie Green looked for a spark in the starting line-up. Rookie Jeremiah Fears took his place, and many were surprised by the move. At the same time, Poole turned the ball over and wasn’t very effective when he was on the floor.
While Poole is out, Jose Alvarado, Jordan Hawkins and Micah Peavy are contributing off the bench. It’s uncertain what Poole’s role will look like when he returns, but if they’re still working, he’ll have to step in where he belongs.
Another player the Pelicans had to play without is Zion Williamson, who is also dealing with an injury. Williamson was diagnosed with a left hamstring strainand should be re-evaluated next week. Before going down with an injury, he averaged 22.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists.
Williamson has battled injuries throughout his career, but the Pelicans as a whole have been hit by the injury bug the last few years. Not having Williamson and Poole is tough on the Pelicans, but it means they have to rely on their players.
