Jordi Fernandez will miss the Bucks game after testing positive for the flu
The Brooklyn Nets will be without head coach Jordi Fernandes during Sunday’s home match with Milwaukee Bucks. Fernandez will miss the game due to illness. Assistant Steve Hetzel will be the head coach in his place.
“He’s positive for the flu, but he doesn’t have a fever. He’s feeling good. I talked to him this morning. I saw him, he was here. He was in a good mood, but I think it’s best for him to rest,” Hetzel said. “I’m just spreading the message of what Jordy always talks about: being competitive, unselfish and connected on the basketball floor. In this five-game series, we’re 2-2 with a chance to go 3-2 after tonight. It would be our first time to win a five-game series, so that’s our goal.”

The Nets will face a tough schedule after Sunday’s game, with matchups against the Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets.
