Josh Giddei improved the injury report against the Nets

The The Chicago Bulls were struggling recently, recently hitting the halfway mark of a 19-22 season for the third time in the last four years. Chicago has been playing for the past few weeks without point guard Josh Giddywho is out with a hamstring injury, which has hurt the Bulls offense badly in his absence.
However, before Sunday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, the Bulls got some positive news when Giddy’s status was upgraded from suspect to suspect. While that still obviously means he’s unlikely to play in that game, the fact that he wasn’t directly on the exclusion list is certainly a good sign that his status is improving.
Meanwhile, Patrick Williams will be questionable for the Bulls with a sprained right ankle.
For the Nets, Michael Porter Jr. will be rested for this game, which will do nothing to quell the trade rumors currently swirling around the organization.
Overall, Giddei has been one of the lone beacons of hope this year for a Bulls team that looks destined to make the tournament for the fourth year in a row. The former Oklahoma City Thunder guard has turned into a nightly triple-double threat and has also drastically improved his three-point shooting, turning him from a struggler into a major force.
With Giddei back in the lineup in the coming days, the Bulls will be hoping to put together a run and try to make up ground in the Eastern Conference standings. Chicago is currently in 9th place in the conference, 2.5 games behind the Miami Heat for the eighth seed.
Either way, Sunday’s game against the Nets is set for 7:00 PM ET. After that, the Bulls will next take the floor on Tuesday night at home against the Los Angeles Clippers.
