Josh Giddei is out for several weeks with a hamstring strain

The Chicago Bulls received difficult news regarding a hamstring injury suffered by star running back Josh Giddy in a recent game.

Giddy suffered the injury during the Bulls’ Dec. 29 game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It happened in the second half as his night ended after 18 minutes of play.

ESPN’s NBA Insider Shams Charania provided an update on the timeline for Giddy’s recovery from injury. Unfortunately for Chicago, the team will have to be without a point guard for a few weeks.

“Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddy suffered a strained left hamstring and will miss at least several weeks, sources tell ESPN. A tough injury blow as Giddy averaged 19.2 points, 9 assists and 8.9 rebounds,” Charania wrote.
