Josh Hart robbed watches worth almost $200,000

The The New York Knicks were solid so far in the 2025-26 season, currently 11-6 after a recent win over the Charlotte Hornets on the road. The depth of the Knicks was on full display this year, with forward Josh Hart scored 22 points in Wednesday’s win over the Hornets.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go so well for Hart earlier this year, when he was robbed of $185,000 worth of watches back in September, according to a new report from the New York Post.

“Hart, 30, left his bag at the Dominick Hotel on Spring Street near Warrick Street around 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 — and when he returned about an hour later, his watch case was missing from inside, cops and sources said,” Amanda Woods of the New York Post reported.

No arrests have been made at this time and a description of the suspects is not available. Hart reported the theft three days after it happened, according to Woods.

Hart will surely be hoping to track down those responsible and recover the expensive pieces.

Either way, the Knicks have played relatively well so far this year, finding some ways to win on the road lately after going winless in that department to open the year.

Hart has had a reduced role the past two years due to the emergence of players like Mykal Bridges and OG Anunoby, but he remains an important part of a Knicks team that many expect to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals this year. If they want to, Hart will need to continue to be aggressive, as he was Wednesday night, for defenses to pay off when they don’t guard him as closely as others.

The Knicks will next take the floor Friday night at home against the Milwaukee Bucks.
