Karl-Anthony Towns flips an absolute dime to OG Anunoby in the NBA Cup
The final on NBA Cup it’s up to us, and both of us The New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs went through a bloodbath just to get to this point. The Knicks, in particular, have been one of the most consistent teams throughout the NBA’s lifetime, reaching the knockout stages in all three years.
And they’re now looking to get over the hump – and they certainly have the opportunity to do so if And the Anunobi continues to play the way he did in the first half of Tuesday night’s action.
In the first quarter of the NBA Cup final between the Knicks and the Spurs, Anunobi feasted in the open air dunk that was produced by the incredible addition of a shot from Karl-Anthony Towns from what seemed an impossible angle.

Towns isn’t exactly known for his passing, but he’s made strides in that aspect of his game over the past few years. It was a pass that only the greatest playmakers can pull off, and the Knicks star certainly showed that he can pull off something like that even though he was suffocated by the Spurs defense.
As for Anunoby, these were just two of his 20 points in the first half.
The Knicks have an uphill battle against the Spurs

This Spurs team is showing some grit and tenacity not usually seen in such a young squad. They also carry themselves with so much pride that it’s easy to forget that this team is very inexperienced. But they knocked off the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder in the semifinals of the NBA Cup, and the Knicks are now experiencing firsthand how difficult it is to keep up with the Spurs.
Entering the halftime interval, the Knicks trail the Spurs by two, 61-59.
