Karl-Anthony Towns is fighting all those trade rumors swirling around him

In the middle New York Knicks All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns trade rumors before the deadlineincluding a report linked to Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, the All-Star forward isn’t angry. In fact, he’s used to it, he says, because Towns has been the subject of frequent trade rumors throughout his career.

Cities addressed his trade rumors before the Knicks beat the Toronto Raptors 119-92 on Wednesday, per Stefan Bondi of the New York Post .

“I feel like I’ve been in trade rumors a lot of times, a year, damn near. It doesn’t matter to me,” said Towns, who was traded from the Timberwolves to the Knicks before last season. “I don’t look at social media or anything like that. I focus on the job at hand, which is trying to get wins every night. As long as I’m doing that, I’m doing my job, I’m going home happy, and I feel accomplished. I don’t care what anybody has to say or people write or anything.”

For Karl-Anthony Towns, his focus remains on the Knicks winning.

“We only care about one thing. That’s winning. So I have no reason to go into depth about anything else,” Towns said. “Only at the end of the day the conversations revolve around one thing, and only one thing every day, 24 hours a day — is winning.”

“How can we win? How can I help this team win? The sacrifices I have to make every night to be the best version of ourselves. I was ready to do that every night, no matter what anybody was talking about.”

Perhaps Towns’ longtime relationship with Knicks president Leon Rose, who represented KAT as his agent, is why he isn’t worried about a potential trade before next week’s deadline, or trying to change the narrative surrounding New York’s title chances this season. Either way, Towns isn’t worried.
