Karl-Anthony Towns on feeling addicted to winning the NBA Cup

The New York The Knicks will have a chance to win this season’s NBA Cup, but first they will have to get past the San Antonio Spurs. The Knicks are a team that has had high aspirations for the past few seasons, and with the talent they have on the team, they could be a contender for the NBA title.
Winning the NBA Cup could be the start of that championship run, and Karl-Anthony Towns he says he and the nicks using this opportunity as motivation for winning the title.
“It brings that winning feeling … When you get that winning feeling, it’s addictive. I want us to get addicted to that mindset of winning the next championship,” Towns said, via Brett Siegel of Clutch Points.
Last season, the Knicks reached the Eastern Conference Finals, but failed to advance after losing to the Indiana Pacers. They brought back most of the same squad from last season, but made a few additions, including new head coach, Mike Brown.
Winning the NBA Cup could help the Knicks get into the mindset of wanting something bigger, which is an NBA title. The Knicks definitely have the talent to do that, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they make another deep playoff run this season.
From now on, they have to focus on Spurs, a young team that is full of talent. Then, they have Victor Vembanyama, who is turning into a player who looks unstoppable on both ends of the floor. The Knicks will have to go bucket for bucket with the Spurs, and Jalen Brunson will be up for the task.
Towns will have his hands full with Vembanyama, but he can make it difficult for the Spurs star as well as stretch the floor, using his physicality to take him out of play.
