As it is Clippers debacle with Paul has generated plenty of news and attention about the situation, Perkins offered more advice about what he’s heard, such as Paul “doing things behind” head coach Ty Lue’s back.

“Those were things that built up over the course of the season,” Perkins said. “He was doing things behind Ty Lue’s back. He was going to the players, whispering, saying things and causing turmoil when the team is already struggling and going through a lot. The last thing you need is a guy you brought in to be an extension of the coach, to be a positive voice in the locker room, not to be a negative voice in the locker room and get out of it.

Either way, it remains to be seen where Paul ends his career and if Los Angeles bounces back from its 6-16 start.
