Kenneth Walker III responds to GM contract comments

The The Seattle Seahawks are in celebration mode after winning the Super Bowl, they may be in that mode for a while, too. During their parade, General Manager John Schneider gave props to the group for going all the way, and he also gave big props Kenneth Walker III to win the Super Bowl MVP.
During his speech he said that Walker is trying to negotiate a contract with him, as he will become a free agent next month.
In a hilarious response, Walker took to Instagram and commented on the video, saying: “He must have been drinking cos I never said dat shi (emoji)!”

Scheinder may have been joking during his speech, but he also knows those negotiations will come sooner rather than later, especially after Walker was able to find success in the Super Bowl.
At a time when the offense couldn’t get much going against the New England Patriots, Walker was the one constant, killing the opposing defense almost every time he got the ball. So there was no question why Walker won the MVP, and he put the offense on his back to help them pull away from the Patriots early.
It’s hard to see the Patriots letting Walker go to another team, but if the money isn’t up to his standards, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he left.
At the same time, he might also consider taking a discount so they can try to bring him back with the same team. There shouldn’t be many changes to the roster next season, but they need to make sure they re-sign their key players who are hitting the market.
