Kenny Dillingham reacts to Cam Skateb at the Territorial Cup

no. 25 Arizona State football has one more game on the schedule, and a big one at that. This coming Friday, Kenny Dillingham’s Sun Devils will take on the rival Arizona Wildcats for a Territorial Cup game at Mountain America Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.
It’s a huge contest, not least because of the rivalry between the two programs. First of all, they are Sun Devils still in the hunt for a spot in the Big 12 title game.
And expected to show support for Arizona State in person is none other than former Sun Devils star and current New York Giants quarterback Cam Skatebo, who done until the end of the 2025 NFL season due to an ankle injury.
Of course, Dillingham loves Skattebo’s they plan to return to their old stomping grounds to cheer for the Sun Devils, who are coming down a 42-17 win in Boulder over the Colorado Buffaloes last saturday.
“It’s supposed to be college football,” Dillingham said of Skateb attending an Arizona game (h/t Justin LaCertosa of DevilsDigest.com. “You’re supposed to finish school and have a passion for the place, and come back and feel like home.”
Skatebo certainly has many memories of his time in Tempe with the Sun Devils. In two seasons with Arizona State football, he rushed for 2,494 total yards and 30 touchdowns on 457 carries. He also amassed 891 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 45 receptions in 25 games before being selected in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Giants.
