Kevin Durant explains his consistent interactions on social media

Houston Rockets All-Star Kevin Durant there is a time for harsh critics on social media. He’s not afraid to admit that putting fans in their place online can be his morning cup of coffee. Durant has a lot to say about NBA life in season 2 of Netflix’s Starting 5, and stands by his choice to respond to fan comments on social media, particularly on X, formerly Twitter.

In a new clip from Season 2 of The Starting 5, Durant admits that enjoys interacting with fans as one of the first things he does when he wakes up, he said, on Netflix’s X, formerly Twitter.

“When I can’t get that dopamine from playing, I definitely get it from that Twitter,” Durant said. “A lot of people want my attention. I don’t think they really want my attention. So I put them on the big screen so they can understand that you get a little bit of fame and realize that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Especially when I’m in rehab, I’m on edge. When I wake up at 8 p.m., and I see something on Twitter, and I’ll see something on Twitter. I get right back to you. It’s like my morning coffee.

“Here come people who have never caught a basketball, never run full speed in their life, never had a pulse before. And they tell you how to approach the game. You can’t guard me, you can’t even make your high school team. You talk like you’re good at the ball, like I’m starting to bully you now,” concludes Durant.

Durant will officially begin his new tenure with the Rockets when they face the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.

Rockets All-Star Kevin Durant talked about his days with the Thunderincluding LeBron James and Dwyane Wade’s reaction to James Harden’s trade to the Rockets on social media in 2012. For Durant, he believes the Heat were relieved when Harden left the Thunder, whom the Heat had just eliminated to win the 2012 NBA Finals.

Durant addressed James and Wade’s comments on Harden in Netflix’s Starting 5, on Courtside Buzz’s Instagram.

“What pissed me off is Bron & D-Wade and so many NBA guys tweeting, ‘Congratulations to my brother James. He’s going to Houston. He’s going to kill it.’ I know Bronn and them were so freaking happy that we weren’t together anymore,” Durant said. “We were on them and**… you all just got scared. You all know we were on our way.”

Durant will face the Thunder after ringside ceremonies at the Paicom Center.
