Kevin Durant reportedly vented his frustrations in private messages



Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant made headlines again after fans claimed he was behind an account that trashed his former and current teammates in a group chat.

Although this is most likely false—and difficult to prove—Durant has a history of using another account to defend himself against critics on social media.

Some feel that the two-time Finals MVP is very sensitive, especially when it comes to his legacy, even though he is already a future Hall of Famer.

The Ringer’s Raheem Palmer revealed that Durant sent him a private message two years ago discuss its impact about the NBA and many other topics.

“KD jumped into my DMs on Memorial Day weekend two years ago and argued with me for hours about his legacy, how Bill Simmons, Stephen A. Smith and Zach Love hate him, the media telling lies, how much better he is than Steph Curry, my view of him, the (Golden State) Warriors, and many other things,” Palmer wrote on Ks.

“I’ll never leak our conversation because it’s corny to me, but I’ve come to respect how much he cares about all of this.”

37 years old Durant’s legacy is already secureeven if he doesn’t win another title. He often said that he simply wanted to play.

Although he’s known to fire back at critics, the 16-time All-Star explained that he’s just responding to their energy, adding that he enjoys interacting with the fans.

“He’s human and he’s no more capable than the rest of us of being influenced by the discourse that surrounds him despite being rich and famous,” Palmer added.

Durant is averaging 25.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists. his first season with the Rockets.
