Kevin Huerter feels reborn with the Bulls

Even if the Bulls stay three defeats in four matchesBilly Donovan’s team is one of the good surprises at the start of the season. Josh Giddei is playing like an All-Star, and next to him, the elements are flourishing in this “basketball rush” advocated by the former Thunder coach. Like for example Kevin Huerter, who arrived last February, and who waited until the start of the season to really acclimatize to his new team.
“I love the way we play here,” Huerter confirmed6e homme of Chicago. “It’s a fun style of play, with good energy, and I feel like I’m part of the success, and I’ll be part of the failure, if it comes to that.”
So far, there is no sense of failure, as the Bulls are 5th in their conference, and the scorer is averaging more than 13 points per 25 minutes. He is also #1 in his +/- formation.
“For me, this little waiting period last year was mostly about figuring out what the franchise wanted to do here,” pursues Huerter. “I’m 27, I feel like I’m in the prime of my life, so I think I’ve got some very good years ahead of me. So it’s mostly been a question of everything coming together. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Billy (Donovan) as a coach and since I’ve been here, everything has gone really well.”
It remains to be seen if the desire for a long-term stay is shared because many Bulls are at the end of their contracts, and that is the case with the former Atlanta scorer who is getting about $18 million for the last year of his contract.
