Kevin O’Connell explains the curious saga of Christian Dariso’s injuries

The Minnesota Vikings lost their spot atop the AFC West after getting swept by the Los Angeles Chargers, 37-10at SoFi Stadium on Thursday.
The Vikings dropped back-to-back games for the first time this season after also losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7. They fell to 3-4.
Minnesota’s woes worsened after the switch to the left Christian Deriso re-aggravated his knee injury in the first half and did not return. With Darrisav potentially out for an extended period of time, the Vikings’ offensive line will become even thinner.
After the game, the Minnesota coach Kevin O’Connell he hadn’t heard of the seriousness of Dariso’s situation, though he was trying explain the circumstances surround him.
“Whether it’s (due to playing in) Dublin, going to London, a lot of knocks, or just the fact that we have Christian in the attack plan every week. Based on the idea of the type of injury he’s coming back from, I’m not going to go into detail about what the injury was, but I’d just say there’s everything he can do” Athletic’s Alex Lewis.
“But when he’s got a lot of shots or you’re on a very short week of travel and everything, there’s only so much we can do.”

Darrisav, 26, played just seven games last season due to a knee injury. He signed a four-year contract worth up to $113 million in 2024.
O’Connell stated that they could give a detailed report after Darrisav passed the tests.
