Key Pitcher Drops Sarcastic View Of Los Angeles ‘Destroying Baseball’

There is one question that has risen above all others as the MLB world approaches training camp: Are the Los Angeles Dodgers ruining baseball?
On paper, the argument is pretty simple: The Dodgers spend more money than any other organization, have more money sitting around than any other organization, and thus buy their way to the World Series over teams that are more deserving, but simply can’t spend at the same level.
Is that argument valid? In the opinion of Fr Ascending Dodgers pitcher Justin Wrobleskithe answer is a sarcastically yeseven if playing for a team that continues to reinvest its financial capital into the on-field product is far from a nightmare scenario for a young player entering his prime.
“I know, that’s the worst, right? The worst is wanting to win. You know what I mean? Isn’t that scary? Isn’t that the point? You know, I’m sure a lot of people are upset about that, but it’s like we’re making a lot of money as a team, too. So maybe that’s a good formula,” Vrobleski noticed.
“I don’t know, but yeah, it’s great to get all these good players, and I’m so blessed and happy to be a part of this organization that continues to show, you know, the fans of the organization and everybody that they want to win and they want to keep winning. And yeah, that’s, again, another nice thing that you can’t spend in this sport is that you can spend money. It’s unpredictable. And I think that’s why, in my opinion, we have one of the best leagues in the world.
Selected by the Dodgers in the 11th round of the 2021 MLB Draft, Wrobleski has the unique career achievement of winning a World Series in each of his first two professional seasons with the club. At 25, Wrobleski has improved his ERA in each of the previous two seasons and he looks to be a big loser in the 2026 innings for the Dodgers if he is unable to beat out Emmett Sheehan and Rocky Sasaki for the fifth starting spot behind Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow and Shohei Ohtani.
Will Wrobleski get the trophy this fall? Only time will tell, but he certainly seems happy to be a member of the Dodgers, as they give him a chance to showcase his talent alongside some of the best players on the scene every time he steps on the mound.
