Khris Middleton says Giannis would “love” to see him “rip it up” during the video
Wednesday night, The Washington Wizards will shoot from their 2025-26 NBA season with a road trip against the Milwaukee Bucks. The match will mark the return Chris Middleton in Milwaukee after the team traded him to Washington last year in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, who hasn’t exactly earned rave reviews during his time with the Bucks so far.
As part of the festivities, the Bucks plan to honor Middleton with a video, and before that, Middleton got 100% real on his state of mind before the game.
“I hope I don’t cry. You never know. I know Giannis and a few guys out there would love to see it,” Middleton said, according to Lily Zhao of FOX6 News on X, formerly Twitter.
Middleton played a huge role in the Bucks’ 2021 NBA Championship victory, knocking down some clutch shots and arguably coming in as the team’s most valuable player in the Eastern Conference Finals win over the Atlanta Hawks after Giannis Antetokounmpo fell with an injury.
Sure, Antetokounmpo would come back and win the NBA Finals MVP, but the Bucks certainly wouldn’t have won that championship if it weren’t for Middleton’s contributions.
Interesting Wizards team

The Washington Wizards are hoping to take a step forward this year after spending the last few years as one of the NBA’s cellar dwellers. The team brought in an intriguing collection of veteran talent to complement the youth, including Middleton and C.J. McCollum, who the team brought back after sending Jordan Poole to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Meanwhile, the Wizards also have some interesting young pieces on their roster, including Alex Sarr, Bilal Coulibaly and Cam Whitmore, among others. If some of those players can make another jump in 2025-26, the Wizards could begin to be taken seriously as a legitimate NBA contender this year.
Either way, the Wizards and Bucks will tip off at 8:00 PM ET from Milwaukee on Wednesday night.
