Kings analyst dives into Joel Embiid’s ‘flopping’

The The Philadelphia 76ers lead Sacramento Kings 60-54 going into halftime. This is a tight contest as both teams go at it. However, the in-game analyst seems to have grown tired of it Joel Embiidas she called him for flopping.
Midway through the contest, Kings analyst Kate Christensen pointed out how many free throws the 31-year-old center had made in the 76ers’ last five games. Christensen slams Embiid for slumped and forced himself to the charity tape. She thinks he’s too talented to play that kind of basketball.

Joel Embiid has attempted 52 free throws in his last five games, not including Thursday’s game against the Kings. Additionally, this isn’t the first time Embiid, or other NBA superstars, have been accused of flopping. It’s been a growing problem for a few years now, as officials seem to call just about everything a foul these days.
The seven-time All-Star has played in 26 games so far this season, missing 20 games. however, when healthy, Embiid has remained consistent as always. He is averaging 25.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game while owning 48.5% field goal percentage, 27.9% three-point percentage and 85.9% free throw percentage.
Embiid has played a key role in helping the 76ers stay firmly in the playoff hunt in the Eastern Conference. The club entered Thursday against the Kings as the 6th seed and 1.5 games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors.
