Kings GM at least enjoying Maxime Reynaud’s rapid progress

As the days passed, despite the fall of kings, Maquime Raynaud has made a place for himself in the sun in Sacramento.

In five matches, including two starts, he averaged 15.6 points (60% shooting) and 6.8 rebounds in 25 minutes. Enough to earn the compliments of Scott Perry, the franchise’s general manager.

“I am very encouraged by these two young men, their current situation”, explains the managerspeaking not only about french but also from Nick Clifford. “Both of them already have an excellent basketball IQ. Then they are hard workers. When you are young, when you come to the NBA and want to work, you give yourself a chance to progress, to improve.”

If Nick Clifford, the 24th pick in the last draft, is still shy, even if he gets a good matchup against Miami, Maquime Rainaud is already making his mark. Remember that the pivot is selected at the 42nd position.

“We see Maxim growing before our eyes”continues Scott Perry. “The real luck for him and the bad luck for the Kings is the injury to Domantas Sabonis. It helps him play earlier in the season when, maybe, he wouldn’t have played as much if Sabonis was there. He seized this opportunity and that’s what you want from a young player. He’s improving game by game.”

The Lithuanian, who has not been spared physical problems since the start of the season, is suffering from a torn meniscus in his left knee. in three weeksalthough it should be back in the next few days.
