Kirby Air Riders update adds Grand Prix & GameShare

And new Kirby Air Riders unveiled this week, adding a new Grand Prix mode to the game, as well as support for GameShare and more. Furthermore, the update adds new balance changes to several drivers and machines. Without further ado, let’s dive right in.

General – Kirby Air Riders Update 1.3.0
- Added support for GameShare
- Press the buttons at the bottom of the home screen to access the GameShare screen, where you can choose between People Nearby or GameChat.
- Added Grand Prix mode (available for Air Ride matches in Paddocks)
- Added a new set of rules, the Sub-In series (available in the fence)
- It allows continuous matches while changing players
- Two players can now participate in paddocks and quick matches from a single Nintendo Switch 2 system
- Changed the “Popular” search condition in the “Buy” section of the machine market to “Random”
- Transform Star’s bike type form can now be customized in the Mi Machine App Decal screen.
- Once a sticker is applied to a transform star in any shape, you will not be able to edit stickers with another shape until all existing stickers are removed.
- You can now delete individual records for each machine in Personal Best.
- Previously, when changing to a free machine or stealing a machine while your Special could be activated in City Trial, your Special meter would decrease. Now the Special meter will be maintained, so you will still be able to activate your Special after swapping or stealing the machine.
- Adjusted lock range when swapping to a free machine in City Trial.
- In City Trial, you can now tilt the left stick down or press the down button to dismiss the copy ability without activating your Special.
- A version is now displayed in the lower left corner of the screen after crossing the finish line in Time Attack.
- Pulling or otherwise disconnecting during an online match in a friends-only fence will no longer subject you to penalties.

Bug Fixes – Kirby Air Riders Update 1.3.0. Patch Notes
- Improved communication stability during online play.
- Fixed an issue where an error would occur when trying to open the Gummies screen in the Collection menu while you have a certain amount of Gummies.
- Fixed an issue where after unlocking the last task on the checklist page using an open block, receiving a completion tick, and then returning to the checklist after moving to another screen via a specific set of actions, the completion tick would disappear and completion rewards could not be received.
- Fixed an issue where an error would occur when trying to enter the paddock while owning a specific Mi Machine.
- Fixed an issue where some stat displays were not properly reflected on the machine/rider selection screen.
- Fixed an issue with Transform Star where, when switching modes when gaining a boost of acceleration after defeating an enemy, the acceleration effect would be immediately lost.
- Fixed an issue with Transform Star where when you touch the dash zone while switching modes at the same time, the acceleration effect occurs twice.
- Fixed an issue where copy abilities would not be removed when a transformation star would enter the cannon while performing a quick spin.
- Fixed an issue with Bulk Star and Hydra where their top speed would drop when gaining weight.
- For all machines, top speed increases when weight is gained.
- Fixed an issue where the Gooey Tongue would sometimes not extend and be unable to grab certain enemies.
- Fixed an issue where when Boss Kawasaki or Gooei captured an enemy, the icon that was displayed after defeating the enemy was not displayed.
- Fixed an issue where the paddock BGM remained the same as the main menu BGM when the paddock decorations changed.
- Fixed issues where communication errors or disconnections for certain players in the mid-team relay in the paddocks would sometimes cause phenomena such as the other player being deformed/the number of laps not being counted correctly/the same player doing two laps, etc.
- Fixed an issue where the user’s camera settings during a team relay match in the paddock might not be reflected depending on turn order.
- Fixed an issue where when racing in a team relay with a FP (figurative player) in the paddock, the stats of the FP and the player going after it could change depending on the turn order.
- Fixed an issue where headgear would not reflect during matches when with randomized riders.
- Fixed an issue where legendary machine parts and some events became fixed when playing City Trial continuously through the local game.
- Fixed an issue where CPU levels would sometimes not appear in the CPU group settings in City Trial via local play.
- Fixed an issue for Swerve Star under Machines in lessons where you would sometimes fail even though you performed the actions correctly.
- Fixed an issue where when stickers were placed near the center of a Winged Star machine when customizing in the My Machine menu, the design of the stickers would partially deteriorate when that My Machine appeared in the City Trial.
- Fixed an issue where when joining a paddock after playing a Free Run, it was sometimes possible to select a legendary machine on the machine/rider selection screen.
- Fixed an issue on Cyberion Highway where the camera would sometimes not return to normal after leaving an area where drivers become smaller.
- Fixed an issue in Machine Passage where some players could not enter the track cannon if there was a communication error or disconnection for certain players.
- Fixed an issue in the Top Ride course Crystal where if you hit a wall while airborne in a certain location, you could unintentionally rotate approximately 90°.
- Fixed an issue where when playing Top Ride with multiplayer, other players would sometimes be unable to change control types when certain players set a Name.
- Fixed an issue where when playing Top Ride with multiple people, it became impossible to switch to free control after P2 switched to steering control while the name was set.
- Fixed an issue where, after obtaining the Flare Bursts item in City Trial, the effect would sometimes not wear off as expected.
- Fixed an issue in City Trial where the camera would sometimes not return to normal after the effects of the Shrink item ended.
- Fixed an issue in City Trial where the camera would sometimes not return to normal after derailing.
- Fixed an issue in City Trial where when completing a legendary machine while the effects of a no-charge item were active, the player would sometimes still be unable to recharge.
- Fixed an issue in City Trial where when performing certain operations after obtaining the Wheel Copy Ability, the Copy Ability could sometimes not be removed.
- Fixed a rare issue in online City Trial matches where a rival’s machine would sometimes become unusable after stealing it.
- Fixed an issue where during replays when a player retires in certain stadium events, an error would be displayed when trying to post a replay.
- Fixed an issue where, when playing VS. Gigantes Stadium event during a 16 player online match, there would be an error when going to the results screen when Lololo & Lalala came in 1st place.
