Klay Thompson gets a long injury report for the Warriors

The Dallas Mavericks will face the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day, and they could be missing some players for the matchup. One of those players is Klay Thompson, who will face his former team after all the memories he had built with them for most of his career. Thompson is listed on the injury report with a sore left knee, but thankfully, he is probably play.

Thompson missed the Mavericks’ last game against the Denver Nuggets, but they still managed to win thanks to big games from Anthony Davis and Cooper Flagg, as both had 30 points. The Mavericks have started to realize that in the last few games, after being near the bottom of the league at the start of the season.

Thompson also had his struggles to start the season, and head coach Jason Kidd elected to bench him. There are still some offs here and there, but for the most part, Thompson still appears to have the three-point shot that many have feared throughout his career.

There’s no doubt he’ll want to be available to play against the Warriors for their competition, and it’s likely for players like Stephen Curry and Draymond Green as well.

It was uncertain which direction the Mavericks would go at one point during the season, as trade rumors began to surface after they continued to lose. Once they started winning more games, the rumors died down and it looked like they might be able to hang on.

Kyrie Irving has yet to return from injury this season, and they don’t know what a team looks like when he’s fully healthy. If they can keep winning for the next month, they might be able to get away without major changes to the squad.
