Klay Thompson receives injury report for Timberwolves game

The Dallas Mavericks they’ve had to deal with injuries here and there this season, but in the last month, they’ve seemed to find a bit of a rhythm. Cooper Flagg is starting to figure things out in his rookie season, and others on the team stepped up as well. Klay Thompson is one player who has found his groove after a slow start to the season, and has been a key part of the Mavericks coming off the bench.
With the Mavericks set to face the Minnesota Timberwolves in their next matchup, Thompson’s game status may be in question after appearing on the injury reportaccording to Kevin Gray Jr. from DLLS Mavs.
“The Mavericks have downgraded Klay Thompson to QUESTIONABLE (left knee soreness) for tonight’s game against the Timberwolves,” Gray wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Thompson has been pretty healthy this season, and with the injuries the team is already dealing with, his absence would be a huge blow.
Regardless, the Timberwolves are also dealing with injuries, with Anthony Edwards listed as questionable on their injury report.
The Mavericks have yet to see what their team could look like if they are fully healthy, and it may not be until later in the season that we find out. Anthony Davis will be ruled out in the coming weeks, and Kyrie Irving has yet to return as he continues to rehabilitate from an ACL injury.
There is a chance the Mavericks could sneak into the playoffs as they are currently 19-27 and 11th in the standings, but they will need to improve to do so.
For now, the most important thing for them is to keep trying to win games, and hopefully Thompson won’t have to miss time with this recent injury.
