Knicks’ Josh Hart reacts to Treo Young’s intriguing question after the win against the Hawks

It looked like the Hawks were going to victimize the Knicks again in New York, with Atlanta leading by eight points at halftime. But a big third quarter in New York put the Knicks in control for the rest of the period. The Knicks outscored Atlanta in the third quarter, 40-27, with Mikal Bridges and Jalen Brunson scoring 14 and 12 points, respectively, in that period. Hart, meanwhile, was also productive in that quarter, scoring 10 points.

Hart and company overcame Atlanta’s comeback attempts in the final period, where they also outscored Atlanta 25-21. Brunson paced the Knicks with a game-high 34 points, while Bridges had 26. Hart finished with 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals in 37 minutes on the floor for New York, which improved to 28-16 overall and 14- 8 at home so far in the NBA regular season 2024-25.

The Knicks also did their homework on Young. While Young was able to get to 22 points, it took him 22 field goal attempts to get there, and he also committed nine of Atlanta’s 23 turnovers, which New York turned into 29 points.

Hart and the Knicks will see more of the Hawks, as the two Eastern Conference teams meet again on February 12th and April 5th.
