Knicks news: Mike Brown not sweating shots in Pacers loss
The new coach of the Knicks Mike Brown addressed his team’s shooting lulls in a 137-134 overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers. After Karl-Anthony Towns forced overtime against the PacersThe Knicks fell in overtime where Pascal Siakam earned his 30-point performance, which was complemented by goals from Andrew Nembhardt and Jackson.
Coach Brown says the Knicks, including All-Star Jalen Brunson, got a clean look in overtime, but they couldn’t capitalize and they didn’t make it, he said, per SNI TV’s Ian Begley.
“I thought Jaylen had a pretty good look down the stretch. He got to his spot. Or he got to where he normally goes. He just came up short. But we got the ball where we needed to get the ball, and we got the looks we wanted to go for during that time. Sometimes they just don’t go in, and tonight was one of those nights.”
As Mike Brown watched the Knicks finish the night shooting 50%, they went 14-for-46 from deep, including 2-for-5 in overtime against the Pacers. Brunson’s 40 points led to five starters in double figures, including 22 points from Mikal Bridges and a double-double from Towns (22 points, 14 rebounds).
