Kon Knueppel performs the feat only Jason Kidd, Stephen Curry
Knuppel could replicated a Stephen Curry and Jason Kidd stat line during Charlotte Hornets vs. Atlanta Hawks match on Thursday night.
Knuppel has been making waves since the start of his rookie NBA campaign. He shined as one of the Hornets’ best scorers, especially as a sharp shooter from the 3-point line.
Those performances came for Knuepel after his last match against the Hawks. In 35 minutes of action, he finished with 28 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals. He shot 10 of 17 from the field, including 6 of 12 from beyond the arc and 2 of 2 from the free throw line.
His efforts made NBA history, according to StatMuse. Knuppel became third rookie to reach those numbers in the game, joining Curry and Kidd in the process.

As Kon Knuepel, the Hornets played against the Hawks

It’s great company for Kon Knuepel to join as he helped the Hornets secure a solid 133-126 home win over the Hawks.
Charlotte enjoyed a great first half, leading 80-69 at halftime. Even as Atlanta tried to mount a comeback in the second half, the Hornets made enough big plays down the stretch to prevent a rally.
Perimeter shooting, ball movement and tackles (steals and blocks) made the difference in this matchup. The Hornets won in all three categories, scoring 24 triples, 39 assists and 14 points. It wasn’t the same for the Hawks as they made 11 3-pointers, dished out 31 assists and compiled eight turnovers.
Five players scored in double figures for Charlotte in the win, including Knuepel. LaMelo Ball assisted him greatly with a stat line of 28 points, 13 assists, four rebounds and a steal. He shot 10-of-16 overall, including 8-of-11 from downtown. It’s Brandon Miller’s turn with 26 points and seven assists, Mile Bridges had 16 points and three rebounds, while Tijane Salaun had 10 points and four rebounds.
Charlotte improved to a 9-18 record on the season, holding onto 12th place in the Eastern Conference standings. They are 1.5 games ahead of the Brooklyn Nets and three games ahead of the Indiana Pacers, while trailing the Milwaukee Bucks by two games and the Chicago Bulls by 2.5 games.
The Hornets will be looking forward to their next match, as they are on the road. They face the Detroit Pistons on December 20th at 7:30 PM ET.
