LA adds o-line help in trade to Saints after Joe Alt injury
The Los Angeles Chargers they are desperate to add depth on offense at the trade deadline LA was already without Rashon Slater and recently lost Joe Alt for the rest of the season. But the Chargers were able to add one new player in the final minutes before the NFL’s 4 p.m. trade deadline.
They are chargers trades for offensive lineman Saints’ Trevor Penning, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The The Saints selected Penning with the 19th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.Penning is in the final year of his rookie contract, making this deal likely a half-season rental.
