LA agrees to reunion with ‘talented’ prospects

While fans in Los Angeles eavesdropped on the praise Edwin Diaz is like Timmy TrumpetThe Dodgers continued to work on their roster that runs through 2026.
From the claim of a useful player Michael Siani off waivers to poke around the big players left on the open market, the Dodgers looked for ways to build their roster on the fringes, including signing familiar face Nick Fras to a minor league deal, as noted by Fabian Arday of the Athletics.
“Dodgers reinstated RHP Nick Frasso to minor league contract, source confirms. He was non-tendered last month,” Ardaya wrote. “Talented prospect who had injury issues that prevented him from making his MLB debut. Now he’s staying with the organization.”
Originally drafted in the fourth round of the June 2020 MLB Amateur Draft out of Loyola Marymount University by the Toronto Blue Jays, Frasso was traded to the Dodgers with Moses Britt in 2022 for Mitch White and Alex De Jesus. Although he made the 40-man roster in 2023, he has yet to report to the Dodgers after having labrum surgery in late 2023 that cost him the entire 2024 campaign.
Joining OKC in 2025, Frasso played in 43 games, going 6-1 with a 5.49 ERA before landing in IL in September. Now back in LA on a minor league contract, only time will tell when Frasso returns to The Show and if 2026 marks his official MLB debut, or if he continues to be a prospect in the minor leagues.
