LA files for disabled player exception after Bradley Beal’s injury

Things went from bad to worse in Inglewood The Los Angeles Clippers lost Bradley Beal until a season-ending hip injury. Now, the team seems to be implemented disabled player exception due to Bill’s injury, according to NBA insider Jake Fisher.

“The Los Angeles Clippers have filed for a disabled player exception, according to league sources, as a result of the loss of Bradley Beal to a season-ending injury,” Fisher wrote on X.

That’s it another blow for the Clippersas they have struggled mightily this season, starting 4-11 and looking like the playoffs could be a long shot. Because of this, The Clippers may have to improvise as they try to get out of the hole they are in. With Beal out, the Clippers need someone else to step up. Unfortunately, that’s not the only injury juggling the team has had to do.

Kawhi Leonard is also out, missed the last nine games. Currently, the team has Kobe Sanders filling in, with little success. With Beal, the Clippers have a little more depth. James Harden is currently the starting point guard, and Chris Paul is the first off the bench. In addition, Bogdan Bogdanović rotated between point guard and guard.

When the Clippers signed Beal, there was a lot of hope, along with some skepticism, that he could be a big contributor to the team. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case as Los Angeles will have to find a way to win without him. With the team’s injuries mounting, it could be a tough task for the Clippers to pull off wins in the massive Western Conference.

The Clippers are currently 12th in the Western Conference and trail the Golden State Warriors by four games for the final playoff spot. Additionally, they are fourth in the Pacific Division as they look at the Warriors, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers. The Clippers’ next game is in North Carolina on Saturday, when they face the Charlotte Hornets in an attempt to snap a three-game losing streak.
