His teammate, veteran center Jackson Hayes is filling out papers to become a citizen Slovenia, according to Donatas Urbonas of BasketNevs.com.
Although he’s currently averaging just 17.7 minutes per contest, the 25-year-old big man has developed a good relationship with Doncic over the past year. What’s more, Hayes offers a skill set that could prove crucial in international competition. He is a top athlete who can be a fierce threat with the lob for the Slovenian national team.
