Lakers’ LeBron James seriously considered an NFL career during the NBA lockout

Once there was a world Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James left the NBA and went to the NFL. The 6’8, 250 pound forward would be an athlete unlike any other. However, that fantasy almost became a reality. James explained on the show New Heights Fr the moment he almost committed suicide in the NFL.

“The only time I took it super duper seriously I think was 2011 when we had the NBA lockout,” James said. “I didn’t know when we would come to an agreement with the owners and get our league back.” So I actually thought about it a little bit back then.

“I was still young enough to go out there with you guys, but that’s the only time I really thought about it. I had serious dreams about this all the time. In my dreams, the ball never got going. I’m warming up, I’m out running my routes, and then when the game starts, I freaking wake up.”

Going back to his size, there wouldn’t be anyone his size in the NFL to cover him. Although the physicality of the two sports is different, sometimes you can’t teach size.
