LaMelo Ball hilariously screams for the ball before the open drive

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball he has learned to embrace his role as a vocal leader over the years. He makes sure his voice is heard—even if it’s too literal.

The Hornets visited the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena on Monday, with The ball leads the attack. In the first half, Ball screamed twice to get the ball from Zion James. He then drove to the lane before hitting Kon Kneppel for a triple.

You could say Ball’s hilarious roar it was heard from Canada all the way to Cambodia. But hey, it worked.

The 24-year-old Ball’s vision has always been top-notch, and he already saw how the play would evolve. Elite playmakers have always talked about the importance of seeing the play before it happens, and Ball seems to have already acquired that ability.

It’s also nice to see him having fun on the court again, having been sidelined for extended periods with a rash of injuries that have slowed his rise. Ball has already missed six games this season.

Before facing the Raptors, the former All-Star averaged 22.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 9.9 assists and 1.4 steals.

When healthy, he is one of the best guards in the NBA, especially when it comes to handling the ball and passing. His casual style can be deceiving, because he has a fiery competitive ability.

The Hornets may be struggling to win, but with Ball on the court, they will always have a chance.

As of this writing, they have a big lead over the Raptors in the third quarter.
