Week 13 Fantasy – Streaming Quarterbacks

KB Max Brosmer (MIN) – Listed in 0.7% of leagues
First, we have arguably the biggest “buy low” candidate of the fantasy football season, rookie running back Max Brosmer from home state University of Minnesota. With recent news about the launch of KB JJ McCarthy sidelined indefinitely due to concussion protocol, the Vikings officially announced that Brosmer will start in Week 13 against Seattle Seahawks.
Although this will be his first NFL start, Brosmer has received high praise from the likes of Justin Jefferson from his performances in practice. It’s a huge confidence boost to have the backing of one of the NFL’s best receivers over the last five years, so Brosmer should be comfortable starting this one with the team around him. What’s more, Minnesota Gopher alumni will likely have plenty of support in the stands for this memorable moment.
Despite the team backing JJ McCarthy as their starter, the growing pains have certainly been there and McCarthy has already shown himself to be injury prone when in the starting spot. This could be a huge opportunity for Brosmer to earn the trust of the franchise and an even bigger statement if he is able to go into Seattle and beat the Seahawks.
KB Sam Darnold (SEA) – Listed in 47.3% of leagues
Moving to the other side of the same play, Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold is still available in just over half of ESPN’s leagues this season. He’s having another monster year and he’s one half of receiver Jackson Smith-Njigba’s previous season with the way he was able to feed their franchise talent. Even so, he’s certainly had his off weeks and is ranked just outside the KB1 range at 15th in the scoring rankings.
Still, Darnold will have a huge chip on his shoulder when he faces his former team, but this time he will have the support of Seattle’s No. 12 player. With the Vikings secondary giving up big plays all season, expect a big game from Sam Darnold and Jackson Smith-Njigba as they connect for numerous points en route to a win over the Vikings at home.
KB Shedeur Sanders (CLE) – Listed in 6.4% of leagues
Cleveland BrownsThe fans finally got what they wished for in Week 12 and they are 1-0 with rookie Scheder Sanders as the starting quarterback. Sanders has been extremely professional in handling his backup role behind Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel, but things have boiled over and it’s finally time for Sanders to get his chance. While his first start was pedestrian from a fantasy standpoint, Sanders will only gain more confidence and become more comfortable with each passing game.
He could be an early stock for now, but it could be worth it to bring Sanders in if your team is going for a fantasy playoff run. There’s no telling what the end of the season will look like for him, and with the Cleveland Browns not playing much right now, Sanders could thrive without the added pressure of having to make the playoffs. He’s certainly a worthy addition in dynasty leagues moving forward, considering he’s likely the quarterback of the future for the Browns.
