Lauri Markkanen’s new timeline emerges after hip injury MRI
With Utah Jazz already on the NBA radarfans eagerly awaited latest injury update to the star ahead Lauri Markkanen. An MRI revealed that the 2023 All-Star and MVP has a “symptomatic hip impingement with associated inflammation and bone bruising,” according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. He twisted his ankle in training, but the results did not show any damage on that front. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
The NBA punished the Jazz earlier in February for “conduct detrimental to the league” after the team ejected Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr. for the entire fourth quarter of a 115-111 win against the Miami Heat. Many people believe that Utah will inevitably lock up their best player, and the league is also suspicious of the franchise’s motives. Although, there’s probably little Adam Silver can do after the MRI results.
