LeBron 23 “Green With Envy” commemorating the rivalry with the Celtics
Nike is having fun with this one LeBron 23 taking advantage of each color to pay tribute to a career highlight LeBron James. This “Green With Envy” colorway takes us back to the early 2010s, when The King left Cleveland to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami, with the goal of competing with the Celtics’ Big Three of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and the bonus of Rajon Rondo.
NBA champions in 2008, finalists in 2010, the Celtics then ceded their throne to the “Three Amigos”, who played in the next four NBA Finals for two titles in 2012 and 2013.
The upper of this “Green With Envy” colorway features an iridescent purple base to match the pale green upper. The tip of the tongue comes out in red with blue outlines. The whole thing is completed by a black sole. Notice the unique pattern on the heel with a green stone encrusted inside.
