LeBron James, Austin Reeves in disbelief at Luka Doncic’s move

Luka Dončić returned to action after a one-game absence as Los Angeles Lakers hosted the San Antonio Spurs at Cripto.com Arena on Wednesday.

The Lakers came back to finish with a convincing victory, 118-116, and extend their winning streak to five games.

The Purple and Gold trailed by as many as nine points in the fourth quarter before finally taking a 113-112 lead on Doncic’s 3-pointer with 2:31 left. In the end, they held on to escape the Spurs and improve to 7-2.

Doncic was impressive the whole game, with LeBron James and Austin Reaves even stunned on the bench by one of the All-Star quarterback buckets.

The 26-year-old Doncic split the defense of Kelly Olynyk and Julian Champagne in the post with one dribble before slotting in, leaving James and Reaves behind. looking at each other in disbelief.

Magic, indeed.

Doncic finished with 35 points, nine rebounds, 13 assists, five steals and two blocks against San Antonio in another MVP.

James remains sidelined with a sciatica injury, while Reaves is nursing a groin injury.

It has become a habit for Dončić to play brilliantly every time he is on the court. His creativity and cunning made him almost impossible to stop. His vastly improved build made him even more agile, finding angles to exploit.

The 27-year-old Reaves will likely return for his upcoming five-game road trip, while the 40-year-old James is looking to progress to five-on-five live action and could be eligible by the middle of the month, according to ESPN’s Shams Charani.
