LeBron James: Can he still play in the 2026 NBA All-Star Game?

LeBron James missed out on selection as an NBA All-Star starter for the first time in 22 years, but the Los Angeles Lakers star could still appear in the tournament in February.

The NBA announced the 10 players voted as starters on Monday, including Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, Luka Doncic of the Lakers and Victor Vembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs.

Fans cast 50% of the votes to determine the starter for 2026, while current NBA players and the media panel each had 25%.

The five highest-scoring players in each conference were named starters on three teams, with international players playing for the world team.

James, 41, was ninth overall in the Western Conference in voting.

The NBA’s all-time leading scorer can still be booked for the Feb. 15 game in Los Angeles, but will have to rely on a panel of NBA coaches to play as one of 14 reserves.
