LeBron James’ historic 10-point streak ended against the Raptors
LeBron James had fans on the edge of their seats as Los Angeles Lakers fought against Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena on Thursday. But it wasn’t because of his usual clutch performance.
James set numerous records in his illustrious career, and one of his most impressive feats is a streak of at least 10 points, which it started in 2007. For perspective, Dalton Knecht was only six years old at the time.
Unfortunately, the streak came to an end against the Raptors, as James scored just eight points on 4-of-17 shooting. The Lakers, however, won 123-120.
James’ anemic performance in the first half was an omen, as he scored just four points on 2-of-9 shooting. It tied his lowest first-half performance against the Raptors.
He became more aggressive in finding a rhythm in the second half, but his struggles from the field continued. He is coming off 10 points in a 125-108 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Monday.
But with his unparalleled longevity, it seems his record won’t be broken anytime soon.
