LeBron James is sending a message to Knicks fans


LeBron James spotted old NBA draft buddy Carmelo Anthony before playing in his latest Madison Square Garden the game. The Los Angeles Lakers The star spent the postgame leaving fans wondering if Sunday became his final MSG appearance against the New York Knicks.

James, 41, has sparked retirement talk around the league. His Lakers fell 112-100 on Sunday, and James scored 22 points.

The four-time NBA Finals champion had his career booed and then cheered by Knicks fans. Yet he acknowledged them via SNI Nix.

“I’ve always loved these fans here, I love New York. Always respectful, they’ve got a great knowledge of the game of basketball and sports in general,” James said. “They know what sports are. They know when they see something pretty cool. I was giving them back the respect.”

James may be slowing down and needs more rest. But he still finds his way to NBA All-Star votes.

James earned this distinction by averaging 21.9 points per game, along with 6.6 assists and 5.8 rebounds. He has played in 31 contests this season for a Lakers team that is now 29-19 overall after a 112-100 loss to New York.

His MSG moments came while wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Lakers uniform. But Sunday could be his last time under those lights.
